Description

This questionnaire will collect the information that we need to offer you a place on the Belfast Mahler Chorus.

The chorus will join the European Doctors Orchestra to rehearse and perform Mahler's Second Symphony "Resurrection" during the weekend of 24-26th November 2017 in the Ulster Hall, Belfast. Concert proceeds will be donated to The Pushkin Trust and Artscare NI.

There are 120 places in this balanced SSAATTBB chorus and places remain for experienced tenors and basses. Sopranos and Altos can also complete this form simply to register your interest in future events with the Irish Doctors Choir and/or to go on a waiting list for the Mahler performance

You will receive a first email by return to confirm that we have got your application. You will receive a second email as soon as possible. It will let you know the outcome of your application and, if your place is confirmed, it will give you a link to a private 'Eventbrite' page for acceptance and payment. We will not need further information, just payment of our participation fee of £50. Your place is not confirmed until this payment has been completed! A very limited number of free medical student places may still be available.

If you decide to decline the offer or if you have any further queries you can contact us at mahlerbelfast@gmail.com. If you need to withdraw after registration we cannot guarantee a re-fund. There will be more information about this in the second e mail.

If any voice parts are undersubscribed, application will remain open but don't delay your application as you may well miss this opportunity! If you don't know if you can be free from 24-26th November yet, there is a place to indicate this on our form so don't worry.

Members of Irish Doctors Choir, with their Musical Director Brian MacKay, come together twice each year to perform challenging and uplifting works from the classical choral repertoire.  They are a not-for-profit organisation whose concerts are given in aid of medical charities, finding exciting performance venues across the island.   The choir also gives smaller performances in local healthcare and education settings. As a commitment to doctors of the future, the choir  sponsors medical student places at their events.
